THE HANGOUT
"IT'S HAPPENING AT THE HANGOUT"

The Hangout Ministry is a spiritual haven created for youth and young adults to encounter God in a relatable way. This encounter is not a service, but a Hangout! During this gathering, it's very informal and facilitated in a way that is interactive. Those in attendance will experience worship, encouraging words, games, music, food/drinks and everyone's favorite, "Open Mic."

This ministry first originated at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church on
January 14, 2012. The Hangout was held every 2nd Saturday of each month. Our
very own Bishop Michael L. Frink and his cousin Julian Jackson saw a need for the
Brunswick County area. Youth and young adults needed a space to feel
comfortable and free to express their relationship with God in an authentic, yet
holy way. This ministry grew and has been considered as Embracing Christ
Fellowship Church's beginning ground.
We encourage you to bring your youth and to invite young adults to encounter an awesome move of God!
Want to be a Hangout Counselor?
Being a Hangout Counselor, your role is to be a spiritual support to the youth and young adults that attend The Hangout. This person will pray for attendees, be ready to give basic spiritual counsel to attendees, and will be a living Christian example for attendees.

A Hangout Counselor should be:
-A Grounded Christian
-At least 18 years old
-Understand how one can accept Jesus Christ
-Patience with youth and young adults
-Work well with others
-Willing to honor leadership
-Not fearful of public speaking
